Reservation Charges

• $1.10 per item, payable at time of collection, whether the reserve is placed by staff or by a library member from the online catalogue.

City Loan Charges

• $3.00 per item, payable at time of collection.

Interloan Charges

• New charges have come into effect from 1 July 2010
• The basic Interloan fee is $6.00
   
• Hastings District Libraries may be charged fees by the lending institution and these will be passed on to you, over and above the basic $6.00 Interloan fee. Staff endeavour to obtain material from the lowest cost source
• These extra charges range from $14 - $15 per item (more for urgent, international requests or Standards)
  
• You are asked to accept any additional charges over and above the $6.00 fee
  If the extra charges are not accepted, staff can send the request only to libraries that do not charge us
• As a safeguard, no request will be placed if additional charges will be incurred but you have not accepted them 
  
• Each item is issued on the borrower's card by the Interloans Librarian when it arrives (because of due dates)
• The charge is also added on arrival and then becomes payable

Overdues

The normal Hastings District Libraries overdue charges apply for overdue Interloans and City Loans.

Payment Options

• Cash always acceptable
• Charges can be paid by EFTPOS at all our libraries
• A small amount of change can be given for photocopying or printing
