Hastings Library is ideally situated to serve as the main reference library for the district. Our aim is to find answers to all your requests for up to date factual information.

In addition we provide a range of material for home reading, viewing and listening for either serious study or relaxation. Please don't hesitate to ask library staff for assistance.

History of Hastings

Hastings Library has a Local History collection covering the history of Hastings and district. In addition there are many items available from lending collections.

The two works covering Hastings history are:

Town and country by Matthew Wright, 2001
