James Esmarialino sent us a fabulous review of Meet the Super Hero Squad by Lucy Rosen. He says:
' Super Hero City is the home of the amazing adventurers, the Super Hero Squad. When the city is in danger they protect it. They are Iron Man, the leader of the squad, Wolverine who is always ready to leap into action, Hulk who is stronger than anyone and is a good friend too, Silver Surfer who has a flying surfboard zooming in space and Thor who has lots of tricks and can control the weather.'
On 7 February 2012 it is the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens. Dickens was the most popular writer of the Victorian age and brought us many great novels such as Great Expectations, Oliver Twist and A Christmas Carol which have been made into films, plays, musicals and television dramas.
If you want to learn more about his interesting life or borrow one of our child-friendly versions of his stories, come into Hastings library and check out our display in the children's section.
