SUPPORT THE PEOPLE OF CHRISTCHURCH

Here is a fantastic way you can help the people of Christchurch rebuild their lives after the earthquakes.  Visit your local bookshop and buy a copy of Quaky Cat by Diana Noonan and Gavin Bishop.  Scholastic will donate half the proceeds to charity.

In the story, Tiger the cat flees his home during the earthquake.  Read how he is reunited with his owner, Emma, and realises that, although his house is in ruins, nothing matters more than being with the people you love most in the world.

Of course, you can also borrow this terrific book from your library!

UPDATE:  So far Quaky Cat has raised over $100,000 for the Christchurch Earthquake Mayoral Appeal, Christchurch Women's Refuge and Te Tai Tamariki Children's Literature Trust.  Its popularity has also kept the book in the Top 10 Bestseller list!  What a success!
