On the 1st July the Art Print Collection was withdrawn from Hastings Library.  Some of these prints have been retained for display and the remainder will be sold at the next Friends of the Library sale.

A nationwide poetry competition is being held to celebrate National Poetry Day 2010.  Closes 5pm Thursday 15 July.  See Calling All Poets Competition website for entry details.

Dr Forbes Bennett gave a very interesting talk on the history of the Lowe Rescue Helicopter at the Landmarks History Group on Tuesday 13 July.

Holiday Programmes

Our three libraries were buzzing over the July holidays.  Hope you all enjoyed the holiday programmes and we look forward to seeing you during the term too.

Remember we have books and databases to help with all your school assignments.   Plus all our books, CDs, DVDs, magazines, and games to relax with.

Our Children's Librarians are already planning the Summer Reading Programme. Summer - there's something to look forward to!

At the end of the third term we look forward to seeing you during the September / October school holidays.  Watch for the programme details.
