Hastings District Libraries

Hastings District Libraries provide access to email, the internet, word processing and online databases at all three libraries.  Some sevices are free, some are chargeable.

Printing in black & white and colour, and scanning is available.

eBooks and downloadable audiobooks are available Hastings District Libraries, through ePukapuka Overdrive, the Lower North Island Digital Library Group consortium.

All three libraries have EFTPOS facilities at the Issues desks.

Payment of library charges may be made by EFTPOS.

We cannot give change except for a small amount for photocopying or printing.

We do not accept payment by credit card.

A public fax service is available in all three libraries. 

Charges:

Sending - Local and 0800 numbers: $1.00 per page
Sending - National calls: $2.00 per page
Sending - International calls: $3.00 per page

Receiving - $1.00 per page

Listening Posts are available in all three libraries, loaded with selections of music.  Headphones are supplied. 

Flaxmere Library

Hastings Library:  Young Adult section, Māori Section, Children's Section

Havelock North Library

All three libraries have photocopies available for public use.  These are self service, although staff can assist if needed.

Charges:

• A4: 20c per side - black and white
• A3: 40c per side - black and white

Ask at the desk for colour copying:

• A4: $3.00 per side - colour
• A3: $4.00 per side - colour

Enlarging and reducing are available.
