Hastings District Libraries

All three Hastings District Libraries provide the following services.  Charges are listed below.

• Photocopying
• Internet & email, wordprocessing
• Faxing
• Printing
• Scanning
• Blank disks
• Laminating, spiral binding, and book covering

Payment

• Cash always acceptable
• Charges can be paid by EFTPOS at all our libraries
• A small amount of change can be given for photocopying or printing
• Sorry - no credit or credit cards

Photocopying

All three libraries have black and white photocopiers for public use.

• A4 black and white - .20c per side
• A3 black and white - .40c per side
• A4 colour - $3.00 per side - Hastings & Havelock North Libraries only, not available Flaxmere Library
• A3 colour - $4.00 per side - Hastings & Havelock North Libraries only, not available Flaxmere Library

Printing

• A4 black and white - 20c per side
• A4 colour - $1.00 per side
• A4 or A3 black and white from microfilm / microfiche - .50c per side

Internet & Email

• Email and chargeable internet  - $1.00 per 15 minutes using prepaid timecodes
• Printing from USB memory stick, CDRom or floppy disk - $1.00 per 15 minutes using prepaid timecodes plus printing charges
• Some internet searching is free

Wireless

• Wireless internet is available at Hastings Library only via our Hotspot
• Prepaid tickets - $2.50 per half hour or 15 Mb

Word processing & other applications

• Word processing, Excel spreadsheets, and other MS Office are available at all three libraries, as well as Open Office
• $1.00 per 15 minutes
• Printing from USB memory stick, CDRom or floppy disk - $1.00 per 15 minutes using prepaid timecodes plus printing charges

Media for Sale

• Blank CD-R and DVD-R discs for sale - $2.00 each

Scanning by staff

• $3.00 for staff to scan first page, then $1.00 per page
• No charge if patron does own scanning (demo of one scan included)
• Normal printing charges apply

Faxing

• Sending to local and 0800 numbers, per page - $1.00
• Sending to national numbers, per page - $2.00
• Sending to international numbers, per page - $3.00
• Receiving, per page - $1.00

Laminating

• Laminating A4 pages - $3.00 each
• Laminating A3 pages - $4.00 each

Spiral Binding

• Spiral binding up to 20 sheets (no cover) - $5.00
• Spiral binding up to 20 sheets (including cover) - $7.00
• Not available at Havelock North Library

Book covering

• To cover each book - $7.00
